Description:
Fernando Guerra, born in 1970 in Lisbon, Portugal, is a renowned architectural villa photographer celebrated for his innovative approach to capturing and conveying villa architecture. He graduated in architecture from Lusíada University in Lisbon in 1993 and subsequently worked as an architect in Macau for five years. In 1999, he co-founded FG+SG studio with his brother, Sérgio Guerra, which has significantly promoted contemporary Portuguese architecture over the past two decades.

He adopts a neutral, non-judgmental approach in his work, focusing on the emotional resonance of architectural spaces without imposing moral critiques. This methodology has led to collaborations with notable architects such as Álvaro Siza and Zaha Hadid, and his images have been featured in prestigious publications like Casabella, Wallpaper*, Villa Magazine and Domus.
In addition to his photography, Guerra is an educator, teaching architectural photography at various institutions. He has been recognized as a Canon Explorer and ambassador, further solidifying his influence in the field. His villa works have been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, showcasing his contributions to architectural photography and the broader architectural discourse.
